Golden Axe

I wanted cheap arcade cabinet for my MAME project, so I had a search at the local craigslist (rss) for arcade. It is near perfect condition, fully working.

I grabbed it, here are some pictures.

Edit 11/1:
I think this box was too good of condition for the MAME cabinet, so I put it up for sale.

[…] So, here’s what I’m going to soon be selling. Golden Axe arcade game with pictures. I hope to get at least $300 for it. HP Deskjet 5850 wireless printer. Received it from a friend of a friend for free; haven’t used it once since I initially reviewed it; it was too hard to setup for nodes, unless there was something I was missing. Dell Axim X5 PocketPC with pictures. It’s broken as far as I’m concerned because of the misalignment problem. It has a Rhino Case (which was $30+), but that this point I’d take $20 for the entire unit… I’m so tired of this formerly expensive unit sitting around. […]

[…] Another problem, while testing the svideo display, we noticed that it is a little fuzzy. It’s clear on the bottom, but the top is just a little distorted. Pat said it was because the “blue gun is misfiring”, or something to that effect. We didn’t see an adjustment, even after removing the TV case. I loaded up a Golden Axe MAME rom, and I couldn’t even notice any problems. […]

[…] I’ve played 61 (give or take 5 for bad memory) of the games, and beaten only 8 of them. I’ve only beaten three of the games on that list in the past 10 years, Golden Axe, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Final Fantasy 7. In my defense, plenty of those games (Tetris, Asteroids for example) are designed for “infinite” play, as long as you continue to shove in quarters. Further in my defense, PC games are not featured on that list. That would add a couple more games beaten (although the current MMO–G is just as unbeatable as the quarter pusher games). […]
